Dorothy Baker was the daughter of John Bellyse and Richmal (nee Mangnall) Baker (BAK00151). She was born at Wanganui, New Zealand on 10 October 1888.

She became a schoolteacher and lived at Nantwich, Cheshire and later at Old Colwyn, Denbighshire.
