Alice Mary Chapman was born at Eversholt, Bedfordshire in 1853. She was the daughter of James Chapman (1820 to 1896) (CHA00003) and Sophia (nee Kingston) Chapman (1823 to 1911). She was baptised on 27 February 1853 in Eversholt.
