to India on 17 April 1946, the ‘wife of an army officer’ leaving Liverpool on the
Mauretania. She left Bombay on the Lancashire of the Bibby Line, to travel
via Aden and Port Said to Liverpool, arriving there on 15 March 1947. She
travelled with her daughter, Juliet.
