Margaret Farndale (also marked Pedley and Darling), born
4 August 1937 Joan’s
daughter, Anne has kindly shared the following: My
mother was born Joan Margaret Farndale, on 4 August 1937. I do know a few details
of her childhood, and schooling etc. She married Christopher Barcus Darling,
who she met at Salt Grammar School. As he was a journalist, she moved, having
given birth to Christopher David Darling on 24 May1960, to Stretford Avenue,
Manchester. Here she had Katharine Mary Darling on 27 January 1962 at Oldham
Cottage Hospital. The family then moved to Twickenham, Richmond, however
Christopher Darling sadly passed away whilst living there. Mum returned to
Baildon, where her parents, and Grandmother on her own mother’s side lived,
and eventually bought a house on Woodcot Avenue.
Whilst living here, she met Donald Pedley, who she married on 19 March 1966,
and had myself, Anne Rachel Pedley born in 1967. Sadly, Joan Pedley (was
Darling, nee Farndale) passed away on 23 April 1999.

Katharine (born 1962). Christopher
Darling passed away on 20 March 1963 at the age of 25. They had been married

M Darling married Donald Pedley (1927 to 2006) at Wharfedale in the first
quarter of 1966. Family They
had a daughter, Anne Rachel Pedley (later Smeaton)(born
1967). Died Joan
Margaret Pedley, born 4 August 1937, died in Bradford in April 1999. Joan
Pedley passed away on 23 April 1999. |
