Chester
1946
James
R Farndale was born on 10 February 1946 at Chester. MMN Ryan.
I
can’t identify his parents as his mother MMN Ryan, not found. He is most likely
to be related to the branch of the Ampleforth Line that lived around Cheshire
and I suspect he may have been a son of Robert W Farndale (FAR00792)
(given his middle name) even though the maiden names don’t reconcile.
1969
James
R Farndale, married Susan C Webster in the first quarter of 1969 at Chester
District (MR).
Cheshire Observer, 21 March 1969:
MR J R FARNDALE AND MISS S C WEBSTER. A honeymoon in London followed the
wedding of Miss Susan Constance Webster, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Webster,
of 140, Sealand Road, Chester, and Mr. James Robert Farndale,
son of Mr and Mrs Robert Farndale, of 80, Malta Road, Blacon.
Father Lowery officiated at the service at St Teresa's Roman Catholic Church, Blacon on Saturday, and the best man was Mr Peter Warren.
The bride wore a full length gown of white crystal
satin with diamante on the bodice and sleeves. She was attended by Mrs Sheila Shaw
and Glenys Jones, who wore full length gowns of cerise crystal satin, and Donna
Shaw, who wore a full length gown of lilac coloured
crystal satin. The reception was held at the Crosville Dining Hall, Chester.
For travelling to London, the bride wore a tangerine coloured
dress and coat with navy blue accessories.
1970
Cheshire Observer, 2 October 1970:
The wedding took place on Saturday, at St Oswald's church, Chester, of Miss
Susan Margaret Ann Charlton, daughter of Mr and Mrs W Charlton, of Curzon Park
South, Chester, and Mr Peter Warren, son of Mr and Mrs T Warren, of Linden
Grove, Hywel. Rev J Taylor officiated, and the best man was Mr. J Farndale.
1971
Their
son, Justin Mark Farndale (FAR01188)
was born in 1971.
1974

is an article about James in the Cheshire Observer
on 8 March 1974 following a car accident.
