If Nicholas was
about 50 at the time he gave bail for Roger, then he might have been born in
about 1280. He might have been the son of Nicholas de Farndale the Elder (FAR00006).
Nicholas of Farndale, gave bail for Roger son of Gilbert of
Farndale (see FAR00028) who had been
caught poaching in 1334 and 1335. (NRRY Vol VI –to
review again)
Gilbert (FAR00018)
may have been Nicholas the Elder’ brother, and therefore Nicholas the Younger’s
uncle.
