Abigail Farndale was born in 1767, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Farndale, (FAR00157) Master Mariner. She
was baptised on 29 December 1767 in Whitby (PR). He father was a master mariner. Abigail
shared the same name as her grandmother, Abigail nee Goar and her father
William was captain of a ship at this time called The Abigail and Martha.
1777
Abigail’s
father, William Farndale, died when Abigail was only 10. He may well have died
at sea.
1791
