1800

Ann Farndale, daughter of John & Dinah Farndale (FAR00198), was born at Loftus on 15 April 1800 (Loftus PR & IGI).

1861

1861 Census: Ann Farndale lived on her own in Brotton, aged 58, a dress maker. She was shown born at Lythe, not Brotton, but this could be consistent with her Whitby origins.

1871

1871 Census: Aged 68, she lived at 81 Church Street, Lofthouse, a lodger, with the Carlton family. She was a dressmaker. She was described as a widow, so it is possible this was in fact the wife of a Farndale deceased and not born a Farndale, but as the record is for Loftus, perhaps she married and then reverted to her maiden name?

1873

Ann Farndale died in the first quarter of 1873. The death was registered at Guisborough. She was aged 71. She was buried on 27 March 1873. James Bell, was the Rector.
