Mary Farndale was born in Stockton in 1832, the daughter of John
Farndale (FAR00217)(Census).
1841
The Census in 1841 listed Mary Farndale at Long
Newton, Stockton: John Farndale, 45, a
farmer, by then a widower lived with his family William Farndale, 10; Mary
Farndale, 9; Teresa Farndale, 8; John Farndale, 5; Charles Farndale, 3.
1861
Mary might have got into
trouble in 1861, in which case she was aged 29. There is a summary conviction of Mary Farndale of
the borough of Middlesbrough for assaulting James Scott of the borough of
Middlesbrough ship carpenter. The offence was committed at the borough of
Middlesbrough on 19 April 1861. The case was heard at the borough of
Middlesbrough on 25 Apr 1861 (Yorkshire Archives, Document
reference QSB 1861 3/10/15/20 - 2 pieces – Catalogued).
1862
Mary Farndale, died in the
first quarter of 1862 in the Stokesley District. She would have been aged 30.
This might not have been her.
