1842

 

William Farndale, the son of Martin Farndale, a labourer of Fogga Farm Skelton and Elizabeth Farndale nee Taylor (FAR00264) was born on 14 December 1842 (Birth Certificate) and baptised at Skelton on 16 December 1842 (Skelton PR & IGI). William Farndale’s birth was registered at Guisborough District on 30 December 1842 (GRO Vol 24, page 370).

1851

 

The 1851 Census for Fogga, Skelton listed James Taylor, head, farmer of 70 acres, born Barnby in 1777 (aged 74); Elizabeth Farndale, daughter, 40, born Yorkshire 1811; Martin Farndale, son in law, 33 born Easby 1818; William Farndale, grandson, 8, born 1843; Martin Farndale,  grandson, 5; John Farndale. Grandson, 2; and Matthew Farndale, grandson, 0.

1854

William Farndale son of Martin Farndale, farmer, died aged 11 years at Skelton of inflammation of the chest, on 29 June 1854. Martin Farndale was present at his death (
Death Certificate).

William Farndale of Holly Haugh was buried in Skelton old churchyard (All Saints, Skelton) on 1 July 1854 (Skelton PR).
