Alice Farndale, the daughter of Alice Farndale (FAR00301), before mother Alice later married in 1866, was born in 1831 at Yearsley and baptised on 15 October 1831 (Craike, Durham PR). They lived at Craike. Alice’s father was a labourer. Alice Farndale’s birth was registered at Easingwold District in the first quarter of 1853 (GRO Vol 9d, page 304).

She was a granddaughter of Jethro Farndale (FAR00218) and lived with him for a time.

I have not been able to identify any further records after 1881. Alice A Thirkell, 82, who died in Skipton District in 1937 (GRO Vol 9a page 62) is not this Alice since the 1901 census shows this Alice married John Thirkell, not William.
