Charles Farndale, 25, a shepherd, the son of William Farndale, also a shepherd, married Mary Hill, 29, at Barwick in Elmet on 26 November 1881 (Barwick in Elmet PR).

Mary Hill, the daughter of Edward Hill (1825 to 1906) and Mary A (nee Johnson) Hill (1829 to 1915), was baptised in the Primitive Methodist church on 28 June 1852.
