Farndale’s birth was registered in Guisbro' District in the third quarter of

records). She was 26 and he was 22.

(1833 to 1924) and was born, probably in Great Ayton in about 1875.

Wilks was killed in action at Flanders on 28 February 1916. He was serving with
4th Battalion, the Yorkshire Hussars.
The
memorial at the small bridge over the River Leven at Great Ayton.
However
this was probably someone else as Arthur Wilks was still recorded in the 1921
