Mary Emily Farndale, daughter
of John and Elizabeth Farndale (FAR00365),
was born in York District, and baptised at St Cuthberts, York on 5 November 1874 (BR & IGI). Her father was a
carter. Mary Emily Farndale’s birth was registered in York District in the fourth quarter of 1874
(GRO Vol 9d page 38).
Mary’s mother Elizabeth nee
Walker had remarried Christopher Walls after John Farndale died in 1874, and
their two children lived with the new family.
