Malton
1889
Elizabeth Farndale, daughter
of John McLean and Alice Farndale (FAR00493),
was born in Malton District in 1889. Elizabeth Farndale’s birth was registered in
Malton in the first quarter of 1889 (GRO Vol 9d page 395).
She took the Farndale name
from her mother. Her mother, Alice married John McLean in 1890, so perhaps
Elizabeth was born out of marriage, and Elizabeth, and four of her younger
siblings, used the surname Farndale.
