Annie E Farndale,
daughter of John William and Annie Eliza (nee Thompson) Farndale (FAR00545), was born in
Garforth on 21 January 1900 (census and 1939 Register). There is some inconsistency in the
census record of the year of her birth but the birth day is consistent, and
1900 is the most likely year.

Farndale, born 21 January 1900, single, housekeeper. The year given in the
Register must be an error. It is likely that she had her birthday right, and
other census records suggest she was born in 1895.
1973
Annie
Farndale died in 1973 and her death was registered in the fourth quarter of
1973 at Barkston Ash (GRO Vol 2d page 1325).
Her birth date is given as 21 January 1899, which is inconsistent and though
the birth date if not the year reconciles with the 1939 record. Her family may
have got her birth day right, but the year wrong.
Garforth
and Barkston Ash are all close to Wetherby, so this
is likely to be Annie.
