before Elizabeth married MSN Farndale was born in Loftus
on 11 November 1914 (1939
Register). Her birth was registered in Guisborough
District in the fourth quarter of 1914 (GRO Vol 9D
Page 849). Elizabeth later married Robert Shaw and Doris became Robert’s
step daughter.
