Thomas W Farndale, son of Thomas William and Christie Ann (nee Dixon) Farndale (FAR00587), was born in Loftus (census) on 15 August 1917 (1939 Register). His birth was registered in Guisborough District in the third quarter of 1917 (GRO Vol 9D Page 651).

Cleveland Standard, 16 December 1949: PIGEON CUP WINNERS. The presentation of trophies to members of the Loftus Homing Society was made at a supper held at Loftus. Mr W E Greenwood, secretary, reported that members had sent 1,836 birds to the 17 race points during the season.... Mr Greenwood won the Britannia Cup and replica, and Mr. T Farndale, the “Walter Wilson”  Cup.

1958

Thomas W Farndale, died aged 41 in the fourth quarter of 1958 at Cleveland District (DR). He was buried on 24 October 1958 at Loftus Cemetery.
