Future Research Plans

Current ideas for where to go next

I am currently working through all the records to consolidate the material already researched.

The next task is to do some more detailed work on the Middle Ages to build up more evidence about the family up to the mid sixteenth century, particularly focusing on Doncaster, York and Sheriff Hutton. As I exhaust the electronic databases of records now available on line, this will involve a trip to the National Archives and other record centres.

At some point some further work will be done on further newspaper evidence adding more ‘stories’ to the history.

There will then be a further task to tidy up each individual record page.

The focus will then turn back to more work on the context pages.

I will then build up more linkage to the history of the relevant parts of Yorkshire and Cleveland and to methodologies for genealogical research.

I may in time make some documentary style films, travelling to the historical locations, and if I do that these will not be pout onto the website but will be made available if anyone is interested in seeing them.
