James Taylor was the son of William and Margaret Taylor and was baptised at Lythe, having been born in nearby Barnby, on 17 January 1777 (Lythe PR).

James Taylor of Stockton married John Andrew’s (AND00001) daughter, Ann Andrew at Skelton in 1807 (Skelton PR).

Elizabeth Taylor, the daughter of James asnd Ann Taylor, was born at Fylingdales on 1 May 1810 and baptised there on 27 May 1810 (Fylingdales PR).

James was a labourer when Elizabeth was born in May 1810 and a farmer when Elizabeth married Martin Farndale in February 1842.
