Barbara Farndale, daughter of John Willie and Elizabeth (nee Todd) Farndale (FAR00591), was born in 1922 and her birth was registered in South Shields District in the second quarter of 1922 (GRO Vol 10A Page 1707).

1931

Her father, John, died in 1931 when Barbara was only 9.

1940

Hull Daily Mail, 16 March 1940: BADMINTON CLUB DANCE, WITHERNSEA WAR CHARITIES EFFORT. Withernsea Badminton Club held a successful dance at the Grand Pavilion, Withernsea, last night, in aid of war charities.
