Barbara Farndale, daughter of John
Willie and Elizabeth (nee Todd) Farndale (FAR00591),
was born in 1922 and her birth was registered in South
Shields District in the second quarter of 1922 (GRO
Vol 10A Page 1707).
1931
Her father, John, died in 1931 when
Barbara was only 9.

WAR CHARITIES EFFORT. Withernsea Badminton Club held a successful dance at the
Grand Pavilion, Withernsea, last night, in aid of war charities. Over 350
dancers were present, and music for dancing was provided by Ceres Harper and
