George Farndale, son of William and Mary Farndale (FAR00123), was baptised at Skelton on 26 May 1743.

By 1765, George, aged 22, was a seaman living in Liverpool and Chester, when he married Ellen Ansdale, a widow of Liverpool at St George’s Church, Liverpool on 21 August 1765.

George Farndale was a witness to the marriage of Thomas Welbury and Elizabeth Adamson at Kirkleatham, on 25 October 1773 (Kirkleatham Parish Records).
