Betsy Farndale, spinster aged 27 years, was buried
at Whitby on 1 September 1797 (Whitby PR & IGI).
1808
There was a Betty Farndale who was witness to the marriage
of John Watson and Ann Langstaff at Lythe
Parish Church on 18 April 1808, (she and Ann made their mark). She would have
been aged 39. But this was not her if she died in 1797.
