Elias Farndale (FAR00274) was born in 1820 (see death record) almost certainly son of this Elias (Ampleforth PR). It may be that Mary was an alternative middle name for Jane, or there was an error,  as there seems no other explanation.

The family must have moved to Bishop Wilton near York at some point, and there is a lengthy gap of thirteen years between the birth of their fourth and fifth child.

1831

Jane Farndale (FAR00311A) was the daughter of Elias Farndale of Bishop Wilton, (FAR00224) and was born in or about 1831 (marriage record). There is no birth record, but her year of birth and parentage is clear from her marriage record in 1851.
