William Farndale of full age, bachelor,
agricultural labourer of Egton, son of John Farndale, labourer, married Sarah
Sanders, a minor, a spinster of Egton Village, daughter of William Sanders, a
cartwright at the Parish Church Egton, on 19 Apr 1841. The certificate was
signed by William and Sarah who made her mark. The witnesses were Robert
Stephenson Helm and William S Limmins. Benjamin

In November 1844, when his second son
Samuel was born, they were living at Church Street, Whitby and William was a
farmer. But when Samuel died two years later in January 1847, they were living
at Egton.
