Mary Farndale’s birth was registered in Auckland District in the first quarter
of 1850 (GRO Vol 24 page 8).

1868 at Shildon (Shildon PR) and the marriage was registered
in the Aukland District in the third quarter of 1868 (GRO
Vol 10a page 213). There is some suggestion in transcripts that Mary
married John Cuthbert, but the census records evidence that her husband was
John Welborne.
