Albert Clarence Farndale, probably another son of Joseph and Margaret (nee Robson) Farndale (FAR00299), was born in Barrow in Furness District on 3 January 1885 (1939 Register). Albert Clarence Farndale’s birth was registered in Barrow in Furness District in the first quarter of 1886 (GRO Vol 8e page 845).

Sunderland Daily Echo and Shipping Gazette, 2 June 1903: A Farndale, farmer, was ferreting for rabbits yesterday when he came across the skull of a human being in one of the holes. It bore the appearance of having been in the ground many years.
