Alberta, Canada

 

1929

 

Ruth Farndale, went to Alberta Canada in 1929, aged 42, occupation farming, of Craggs Hall, Carlin Howe. She travelled unaccompanied, from Liverpool to Montreal in 1929 on the Athenia of the Anchor-Donaldson line (captained by James Black), departing from Liverpool on 5 October 1929. She arrived on 13 October 1929.

 

1932

 

Ruth Farndale married her first cousin, Martin Farndale (FAR00571) in Trochu, Alberta, Canada in 1932. They had no family. (Family knowledge).

When Martin died in Calgary aged 62 years, on 11 Sep 1943, Ruth returned to England (
Family knowledge).


1947

 

There is a record of her crossing into USA at Buffalo, New York on 11 November 1947. Perhaps this was her journey home?

In 1950 to 1955 she was on the electoral register for Harrogate.

 

Ripon

 

1957

 

In 1957 she was on the electoral register for Ripon.

1974
