Barnes Farndale, son of Mary Elizabeth Farndale, (FAR00431)
(unmarried), domestic servant of Great Ayton, was born in Great Ayton on 12 February 1887 (Birth
Certificate, 1939 Register). The birth was registered by M E Farndale, mother,
of Great Ayton, in the Stokesley
District.
His
father’s name was William and it seems possible that his father’s surname was
Barnes. His mother’s name was Mary Elizabeth. He was baptised on 1 March 1887
at Great Ayton. William Barnes
Farndale’s birth was registered in Stokesley District on 15 March 1887 (GRO Vol 9d page 609).
He lived with his mother and his grandparents Richard and Esther Farndale (FAR00288).
