son of Joseph and Mary (nee Hill) Farndale (FAR00228) of Nunthorpe,
cartwright, was baptised at Great Ayton
on 31 July 1825 (Great Ayton PR).

son of Joseph Farndale, cartwright,
married Esther Thwaites of full age, spinster of Stokesley, daughter of George
Thwaites, labourer at the Parish church Stokesley, on 19 May 1850 (Marriage Certificate, Stokesley PR). Jane
Farndale was a witness (FAR00332,
sister). Richard Farndale made his mark, Jane signed. The witnesses were
William Shaw and Jane Farndale. William Wray was the Vicar.
Esther Thwaites
was born in about 1825 at Ormesby (census).
Her mother was Mary (nee Gales) Thwaites.
