of Robert Farndale (FAR00254),
warehouseman of Stockton and Sarah Ann
Farndale formerly Taylor, was born in Stockton on 17
December 1844.
He was baptised in the Wesleyan/Methodist chapel of the Stockton Circuit on 2
February 1845. (Stockton PR). Robert
Edward Farndale’s birth was registered at Stockton
District in the first quarter of 1845 (GRO Vol 24, page 237).

deceased, married Elizabeth Margaret Parver aged 23, a spinster of Guisborough, daughter of William Parver, a
surveyor at the Wesleyan Chapel, Guisborough, on 29 December 1869. (MC)

He was a plasterer and cement maker
at the time of his marriage in 1869. Indeed he must
have gone into a business in cement manufacturing and carpentry in Stockton with Benjamin Burlinson, which business was liquidated in 1870.

He seems to have lived
separately from his wife and child in 1871 as his wife. Elizabeth Margaret
Farndale, and his daughter Emily Gertrude Farndale, went to live with Robert’s
mother, Sarah who had remarried Benjamin Burlinson:
